Paper alert: Loess on Svalbard
Have a look at the latest paper on aeolian dust transport and loess deposition on Svalbard! This study provides the most detailed luminescence dating yet undertaken on a sedimentary archive. The derived exceptionally high dust mass accumulation rates suggests an unusually active local dust source, and centennial-scale variability in Adventdalen.
